In her free time, Melissa and her dog Izzy enjoy volunteering at UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital as a Pet Therapy Team. In 2019, Izzy notably won Good Morning America's "Pet of the Year" for her volunteer work and her love for bringing smiles to patients and hospital staff. She also volunteers in her community and was President of her HOA and serves on various committees.
